Kim Kardashian puts two homes up for sale, including Kanye's signature style condo | loveproperty.com

Having been in the public eye for 14 years, reality television star turned entrepreneur Kim Kardashian is now worth an estimated $1.8 billion (£1.3bn), according to Forbes. After developing multimillion-dollar businesses and a growing family to boot, it will come as no surprise that the SKIMS owner's property portfolio paints a pretty impressive picture. However, Kim is dramatically shaking up her real estate collection by putting two residences on the market in the space of just a few days, and it may have something to do with Kanye West's recent real estate transactions... Click or scroll on to find out more.

After first being placed on the market several years ago, Kim's three-bed, four-bath Calabasas condo is back up for sale. Undaunted by the property's failure to sell in spite of extensive publicity, Kim has listed the condo for the same asking price as before: $3.5 million (£3m). Kim originally purchased the 2,260-square-foot condo in 2017 for $1.6 million (£1.4m), but since its acquisition, the property has undergone a major remodel.

As a birthday present for Kim, ex-husband Kanye West commissioned a makeover for the condo from Belgian brutalist architect Vincent Van Duysen. Post-remodel, the apartment now resembles a "monastery-style flat", with a neutral colour palette, minimalist décor, and extremely paired-down furnishings throughout.

The home's combined kitchen and living area features European oak floors offset by plaster walls, ceilings and cabinetry. The bespoke furnishings complement the space's soft, sandy colour palette, as do the cream curtains which soften the light from the wall of glass doors that line one side of the room.

The interior design showcases natural textures. In addition to the wide-plank flooring, a block coffee table and side table showcase beautiful wood grain, while a braided hemp carpet and linen throw pillows add warmth to an otherwise somewhat forbidding space.

The apartment complex is reached by means of a semi-private elevator, which opens onto a private foyer, the gateway to the open-plan living area. The extremely neutral colour palette of cream, ivory and stone also dominates in their formerly shared marital home that Kim now owns independently following a buyout after their divorce.

Though compact, the gourmet kitchen nevertheless features state-of-the-art Bosch, Gaggenau and Sub-Zero appliances which blend seamlessly into the custom cabinetry. Streamlined is an understatement here, as minimalist plaster-effect cabinetry sits alongside walls and a dining table in the same mottled hue.

Over the circular dining table hangs a bespoke wrought iron chandelier, which manages to evoke both medieval and modern influences. Wooden stools sit snuggling beneath the tabletop, their velvet cushioned seats one of the only displays of opulence in the stripped-back space.

The simple master bedroom offers an oasis, not merely from the rest of the house, but from any extraneous clutter or stress-inducing décor. Instead, the minimalist aesthetic and paired-down furniture offer a space that is both tranquil and starkly simplistic, almost reminiscent of a monk's cell (albeit a very luxurious one!).

In addition to the queen-sized bed, the master bedroom offers a flat-screen TV poised above an oversized vanity, and floor-to-ceiling windows which can either let in the brilliant Calabasas sunshine, or be made invisible by drawing thick curtains which blend seamlessly into the walls.

Unquestionably the highlight of the master bedroom, the ensuite bathroom features a statement bathtub that offers every glamorous amenity without deviating from the minimalist aesthetic of the rest of the apartment. Subtle spotlights add an undertone of luxury amid the sparse scheme.

The bathroom features this glorious Jee-O Soho tub, as well as a Toto toilet, and MGS faucets and fixtures. A half wall divides the bathing area from the vanity unit, which gives a surprising nod to Old Hollywood—unexpected given the condo's pared-back decoration.

Framed by exposed bulbs, the illuminated mirror offers a true diva's dressing room—a necessity given that the apartment featured on several episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. We just imagine Kim preening and preparing for a big awards show here.

The apartment's other three bathrooms are equally well-equipped, with large walk-in glass showers, spacious vanities, and plenty of storage for guests and residents alike. Each combine high-quality materials with sleek, streamlined design and bold, black hardware.

The home's two other bedrooms could function as guest rooms, or one guest room and one home office. Kim famously used the apartment as her office space when managing both KKW Beauty and her shapewear line SKIMS, perhaps finding the simple, brutalist décor conducive to her creative process.

The condo comes with a $685-per-month (£594-per-month) HOA fee, which grants residents access to amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness centre, pool and spa, fire pit, barbecue area, and guest parking. The condo is conveniently situated within easy reach of downtown Calabasas, which offers plenty of shopping and dining options.

Just a couple of days after Kim listed her Calabasas condo for sale, she put yet another property from her portfolio on the market—her smaller Hidden Hills ranch. Priced at $5.3 million (£4.6m), Kim purchased the property with her ex-husband Kanye in October 2019 for just under $3 million (£2.6m) and she appears to have gained full ownership of the residence following their high-profile divorce settlement.

Encompassing 1.5 acres, the home's grounds feature a concrete pool with a spa and water feature, a covered patio and a built-in barbecue station, perfect for A-list parties. However, it's not clear whether Kim or Kanye ever occupied the property. The ranch is on the same street as the $20 million (£17.3m) Hidden Hills compound where the former couple raised their children together during their marriage, and where Kim and the kids now reside. It's thought that the ranch was purchased to protect their privacy.

A more modest affair than the star's other real estate acquisitions, the home itself offers 3,874 square feet of accommodation spread over a single floor. Vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams in the living area add a rustic feel to the property. The residence has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a four-car garage—more than enough space for a family to stretch out.

Across the road lies the second part of the ranch property: the state-of-the-art equestrian facilities. Kanye famously snapped up two ranches in Wyoming over the course of his marriage to Kim, later taking full ownership of the properties after their divorce. While he put one of the rural acreages up for sale in October 2021 for $11 million (£9.5m), he notably took it off the market in September 2022, less than a month after Kim split from comedian Pete Davidson, a move that raised quite a few eyebrows.

The Hidden Hills equestrian lot includes a four-stall horse barn, a tack room, a feed room, and a corral area where the new owner's four-legged friends can roam. Kim's eldest daughter, North West, is especially fond of horse riding and even had a Western-style seventh birthday party back in 2020. It begs the question of why exactly Kim decided to list the ranch home now, though the answer may lie in her ex-husband's recent real estate transactions...

Back in December 2021, Kanye purchased a mid-century home in Hidden Hills for $4.5 million (£3.9m). Not only is the property in the same exclusive neighbourhood as Kim's primary residence, but it's just across the street from the star's mansion and the ranch she's just listed for sale. Seemingly in retaliation, Kim then splurged $6.3 million (£5.5m) in May 2022 on a property in between her Hidden Hills compound and Kanye's new residence, perhaps to act as a buffer between her and her ex-husband.

However, now that Kim is selling off her ranch, could she be looking to move out of the Hidden Hills area completely? While Kanye is evidently close with their four children and the pair are committed to co-parenting together, perhaps having him across the road is too close for comfort for Kim. Only time will tell why the star has listed two homes for sale in quick succession. Stay tuned to see who blinks first in this real estate standoff...

Let's take a look at the other places Kim Kardashian has called home and where she lives now...

The social media influencer, entrepreneur and aspiring attorney has lived in a variety of homes around the Los Angeles area, including Bel Air and Beverly Hills. She currently resides in her Hidden Hills mansion with her four children, after she won sole ownership of the home during her divorce from Kanye West. But where did the famous Kardashian grow up?

Pictured here with her lawyer father, Robert Kardashian and sister Kourtney, Kim grew up in the idyllic surrounds of Los Angles. Her parents Kris and Rob raised the children; Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob until their divorce in 1991.

Before the split, the Kardashian family lived together in this Beverley Hills 90210 manse, a short hop from Rodeo Drive. According to Realtor, after tying the knot in 1978, newly married Kris and Rob splashed out the tiny sum of $383,500 (£332k) on the home a year later, eventually selling in 1994 for a huge $1.5 million (£1.3m).

The sprawling open-plan property in Beverley Hills stretches over 3,922 feet and was built in 1951. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the home had plenty of space for the young Kardashian clan.

In 1998, seven years after her mum Kris married Caitlyn Jenner, then known as Bruce, Kim graduated from Marymount High School in Bel Air, California, which she attended with future socialite friend, Paris Hilton. But it would be a few years before her career started to take off.

At just 20 years old, the soon-to-be reality star secretly wed music producer Damon Thomas. But when Kim’s dad passed away in 2003, her marriage broke down a year later. Around this time she also became close with former high school friend, Paris Hilton and began working as the celebutante’s assistant where she got her first taste of the limelight. In a 2019 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim acknowledged that Hilton 'literally gave me a career'.

But it wasn’t until 2007 when reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians first aired on E! Entertainment that Kim became a household name. The show followed the daily exploits of the Kardashian-Jenner family including stepfather Caitlyn Jenner and younger half-sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. 2006 was also the year that Kim, Kourtney and Khloé opened their first DASH store in Calabasas.

Just before she was first thrust into the limelight on KUWTK, Kim moved out into her first home in 2005. Although we don't know what the star paid for her new Beverly Grove pad, she sold up in 2010 for $885,000 (£767k) according to the listing.

While the décor has changed since the Kardashian lived here, it's easy to see how the young starlet lived. Spread across 1,720 square feet, the condo boasts three bedrooms, and a kitchen complete with Viking appliances. The space also features a breakfast bar ideal for the star to enjoy those huge Chinese chicken salads that she is so fond of.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows grace the open-plan living area allowing for stunning views across Los Angeles. Playing host to a working fireplace and space for a dining room table, it’s the perfect room for entertaining.

The extra-large master bedroom includes a spa-like bath as well as a separate shower, fireplace and huge walk-in wardrobe. Becoming somewhat of a style icon herself, the fashion-loving star certainly would have enjoyed the extra wardrobe space.

Kim soon became a successful entrepreneur, making her fortune through modelling, clothing collections including shapewear brand SKIMS and even a very successful app game, alongside her daily role as an influencer. Kim's boasts over 313 million followers on Instagram and is still one of the world's most popular reality stars to this day.

After slowly climbing up the celebrity ranks, Kim released her own perfume in 2009 and a year later bought her first mansion. This Tuscan gated resort villa was home to the star from 2010, when she bought it for $3.4 million (£2.9m), according to the listing. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom abode sweeps across nearly 3,800 square feet and boasts its own private pool, perfect for filming KUWTK scenes.

Rich, hardwood flooring flows throughout the large chef’s kitchen complete with a centre island that's lit by via the plethora of hanging lights and panelled windows. The kitchen area opens out to the family room and lower level outdoor living space for large get-togethers and Kardashian family dos.

Ornate floor and wall tiling adorn the upstairs bathroom which is illuminated via recessed spot-lighting, whilst wall sconces and two large windows provide leafy views over the garden and beyond.

During her three year stay at the home, the businesswoman married former NBA basketball player Kris Humphries in August 2011. Despite airing in a special titled Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, Kim filed for divorce just 72 days into the marriage as reported by US Weekly. The pair lived in the house together until their divorce, which was maybe why Kim decided to sell up in 2013 for $4 million (£3.5m), making a tidy profit.

Shortly after her divorce from Kris Humphries, Kim started dating long-time friend Kanye West. After dating for two years, the pair married in May 2014. Unsurprisingly their wedding was a high profile celebrity-filled affair, held at Fort di Belvedere in Florence, Italy following a seven-month engagement according to ABC News.

Before the wedding in 2014, the pair announced their first pregnancy in January 2013 during Kanye’s New Year's Eve performance in Atlantic City. Before North West was born in June 2013 the parents purchased this family-sized mansion within the guard-gated community of Bel Air Crest for a cool $9 million (£7.8m) according to the listing.

All 9,000 square-foot of the Bel Air mansion was renovated and redesigned to the duo’s style, featuring fresh white walls, stainless steel fixtures and clean lines throughout. A glass wall in the living area boasts covetable vistas over Los Angeles from the privacy of their gated community.

With seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, there was plenty of room for a growing family and on 5 December 2015, while the couple still lived in the home, Kim gave birth to their son, Saint West. Elsewhere, the sleek minimalist kitchen boasts a long, slim centre island and stainless steel appliances.

After transforming the abode to their minimalist taste, Kim and Kanye decided to sell the property. Making a tidy profit, the Bel Air mansion sold for $17.8 million (£15.4m) in 2017. In the summer of 2017 it was confirmed by People that Kim and Kanye had hired a surrogate to carry their third child, so it looked like the growing family were on the market for a new home!

In 2014, Kim and Kanye purchased this expansive estate in Hidden Hills for $20 million (£17m), set across three acres of land, boasting beautiful vineyards, mature trees and rolling lawns. According to People, Kris Jenner claimed the home was valued at around $60 million (£52m) after the former couple completely reimagined it.

As documented in Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim and Kanye welcomed two more babies to their family via surrogate. Their second daughter, Chicago, was born on 15 January 2018 while their second son, Psalm was born on 10 May 2019. A full house!

Inside the palatial home, huge arching hallways and streams of white space make for a somewhat spiritual building. Speaking to Architectural Digest in February 2020, Kanye described the Hidden Hills mansion as a 'futuristic Belgian monastery’. Designed by the couple alongside Belgian architect Axel Vervoodt, they spent $20 million (£17m) on the extensive renovations.

During the renovations the couple and their children stayed across the road at Kris' home for three years, eventually moving out in 2017. The massive house boasts two kitchens, two pantries, several freezers and a huge walk-in refrigerator. Here we can see the family in one of two kitchens that boasts a vast, round wooden table.

However exciting their Los Angeles life was together, the peaceful rolling hills of Wyoming beckoned, and in September 2019 the family bought their own ranch. Named Monster Lake Ranch, the homestead stretches out across 4,500 acres of idyllic mountainous countryside.

Consisting of numerous lakeside cabins and outbuildings including a restaurant, saloon, ranch-style event venue, equestrian facilities and a shooting range, the property was certainly large enough for the family of six. Originally listed for $14 million (£12m), the exact price they paid is currently unknown. This ranch became Kanye's home, while the couple hunkered down in the media storm of their divorce announcement. Nevertheless, he listed the sprawling property in October 2021 for $11 million (£9.5m) with DBW Realty, before pulling it off the market in September 2022 in the wake of Kim's split from Pete Davidson.

2019 was a busy year for the famous duo’s property portfolio. One month after purchasing the Hidden Hills second home, Kanye followed suit of a number of celebrities fleeing to the countryside and bought a second Wyoming ranch for $14.5 million (£12.6m). Bighorn Mountain Ranch is located approximately 50 miles from their first ranch, on over 6,700 acres of land. Complete with three camps that are dotted around the estate, it has 10 cabins available to the family.

One such camp is The Lodge at Bald Ridge, hosting its own log cabin with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and three additional smaller cabins which are ideal for guests or staff. It’s easy to see what attracted the family to ranch living, with plenty of outdoor activities on tap such as skiing, hiking and fishing. The wider Kardashian family enjoyed more time out of the spotlight after December 2020, when Kim Kardashian announced the end of KUWTK, but it wasn't long before the clan was back on our screens. A new show titled The Kardashians launched on streaming service Hulu in April this year.

News of Kim and Kanye's split came in 2021 after months of rumours and seven years of marriage. We now know that Kanye claimed the ranches in the divorce settlement, while Kim bought her former husband out of the Hidden Hills estate for $23 million (£20m) according to US Weekly.

Kim is still winning the who-can-own-the-most-of-Hidden-Hills race though, as she’s just bought up this understated, custom-built four-bed in the same neighbourhood. It sits between Kim’s other Hidden Hills property and the house Kanye snapped up in December—a very expensive 'buffer' between her and her ex, at $6.3 million (£5.5m). It was such an attractive buy, the reality star allegedly paid $800,000 (£694k) over the asking price, as reported by New York Post.

Quite the time-warp, this is the first time this home has been on the market since it was built in 1975 and Kim can either embrace the formal style of the place or remodel it into a more modern home, in her signature understated style. The large dining room certainly has plenty of space for hosting the whole Kardashian-Jenner clan and looks out onto the greenery of the yard outside.

The dining room leads to a family room with a fireplace and wet bar, and there's also an ensuite bedroom downstairs. A deep green-carpeted spiral staircase adorned with gold-coloured railings leads to the second-floor bedrooms. Yet, the New York Post suggests that the star, like Kanye, has purchased the property reportedly as a teardown. Only time will tell...

Having a house between the couple’s respective homes fits nicely with Kim and Kanye’s plan to co-parent their four children, and the kids certainly won’t be lacking play space here. This pad stretches across 4,239 square feet of living space and sits on more than an acre of land, providing plenty of scope for Kim to expand her estate.

For now, Kim seems contented in her expansive Hidden Hills estate with her four children, and her family and ‘momager’ Kris Jenner close by. However, given the star's recent selling spree, it seems like change might be on the cards for Kim. We can't wait to see what's next for the property-loving reality star...
