During the Burnout Madness contest at Japfest 2022, this R34 GT-T shows the crowd how it's done by burning through its tires in record time.

With the rise in popularity amongst JDM cars in the last 10-15 years, specifically the various Nissan Skyline models, it was only a matter of time before someone organized a worldwide event to celebrate these iconic Japanese cars. Known as Japfest to many, Europe's self-proclaimed "biggest Japanese car show" has a touring schedule that rivals some of the world's biggest pop stars.

Their latest stop takes place in the Netherlands, at the TT Circuit of Assen, known to many as the "cathedral" of motorcycling. For a couple of days, however, it's known as the temporary home to some of the greatest JDM cars ever produced. Featuring a slew of events that range from a time attack to the quintessential best-in-show series, the events become more unique with such tasks as "Burnout Madness."

Sounding exactly like what the event entails, owners must place their car on a slab of concrete and compete for the fastest time to blow their tires during a burnout. Surely, one of the more wasteful events, it does prove to be one of the most energetic competitions at Japfest. Luckily, automotive YouTube Channel Gumbal is on-site with a camera, capturing a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T shredding its tires like they're plastic.

Hosted by Dutch tuning shop 402 Automotive, Japfest regularly displays over 4,000 cars at each event, making for some of the best content on social media. Living up to the hype is the R34 GT-T known as "WhiteKnightR34," as he slides his Skyline on top of the concrete and waits eagerly to smoke out the festival.

Yet, once the Skyline is "secured" in place thanks to some cinder block stoppers, the tomfoolery that ensues ends up being a little tamer if you will. Especially when remembering this Skyline is the RWD GT-T, known around the world for its burnouts and drifting habits.

After nearly losing traction a couple of times, the "white knight" ends up destroying its tires in about 80 seconds which is mind-blowing for how easy it made it look.

Because when you imagine a Skyline doing burnouts, the sights and sounds from the exhaust and turbo are what you want to experience. Unfortunately for the patrons, other than getting some rubber chunks thrown at them, the GT-T made it look like it was going for its daily warmup drive and barely breaking a sweat.
