The project generally consists of construction of addition to the existing Near Term Water Treatment Plant (Phase 1), installation of iron and manganese treatment system and granular activated carbon (GAC) system, and connection to existing process piping and chemical treatment. The work also includes miscellaneous building upgrades at existing Wellhouse Buildings 3, 4, 5/6, and 7. The Project includes the following Work: • Construct addition to the existing Near-Term Water Treatment Plant (Phase 1) with cast-in-place concrete foundations, floor slab, and precast building panel structure. • Provide GAC treatment system and media. • Provide iron and manganese treatment system and media. • Provide chemical feed process equipment (fluoride, chloride, and orthophosphate). • Provide modifications to existing sodium permanganate chemical feed system. • Install cast-in-place filter backwash and sanitary tanks. • Provide process piping, valves, and appurtenances. • Provide building HVAC systems. • Provide lighting and building and process electrical system. • Provide painting and special coatings. • Provide office, conference room, storage room, mechanical room, bathrooms, shower room, shop, and garage as described in the Bidding Documents. • Demolish Existing Water Treatment Facility. • Construct site access including bituminous and concrete pavement. • Provide site utilities, landscaping, vegetation establishment, and site restoration. • Erosion and sediment control. • Start up the entire constructed Project. • Construct Wellhouse Upgrades at Wellhouses 3, 4, 5/6, and 7, including roof replacement, building patching, mechanical (HVAC and plumbing) systems, controls system hardware, and control and communication systems and equipment. • Miscellaneous and incidental work as described in the Bidding Documents.
